Craig E. Thull

Craig E. Thull

Craig E. Thull, 72, of Campbellsport, entered eternal life on May 4, 2024. He was born on April 17, 1952. Craig was known for his kind, hardworking, and selfless nature. He was generous with his time and talents, and always quick with a joke, making him a joy to be around. He cheered proudly at his children's and grandchildren's sporting events and was the original GPS well before smartphones. Craig grew up on his family's farm in St. Michael's and graduated from Kewaskum High School. He married Lois Strupp on August 30, 1974, and was devoted to his family from that point forward. He had a successful trucking career at Level Valley Dairy and UPS, retiring in 2017 with over 3,000,000 miles on the road. He will fondly be remembered by many as "Rebel Streaker." Craig was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, serving the parish in countless roles across the years, most recently as an usher and a ticket taker at fish frys. He found joy in simply being with family and friends, going for ranger rides, hunting, shooting, winning nickels playing sheepshead, telling Ole and Lena jokes, vacationing in Shawano, roasting pigs, drinking a cold beer, throwing the bumper for his puppy, Lucy, and listening to polka music and classic country tunes. Craig is survived by his children, Matthew (Erin) Thull, Andrew Thull, Jessica (Peter) Brundage, and Daniel Thull. He was "Papa" to Dalton, Lilah, Taylor, Isaiah, Katelynn, Cyrus, Franklin, and August. Craig is also survived by his siblings, Sue (Ralph) Deppiesse, Gale Thull (Don), Janine Thull (Jeff), Gary (Doreen) Thull, Geralyn Fromm-Nothem (Dave), Kevin (Lynn) Thull, Adrianne (Ron) Theusch; in-laws, Vicky Thull, Gerald (Carol) Strupp, Mark Strupp, and Lora (Michael) Nitschke; and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert John Marsch

Robert John Marsch

Robert John Marsch, 78, passed away at his home in Horicon, on April 19, 2024.    Born to Walter “Pete” and Lucy Marsch on October 24, 1945, Robert was the sixth of nine children. He was a lifelong resident of Horicon and graduate of the Horicon High School class of 1963, where he explored his passion for art and creativity, often inspired by the camera he received as a gift from his older brother, Jerry.   On August 3, 1965, Robert was drafted into the U.S. Army. He completed ATP 21-114, rifle M-14 training and was later trained as a clerk typist and personnel assistant. He pursued his passion for art during his war service by chronicling his experiences in photography, drawings, and even a bit of poetry. He was honorably discharged two years later following the unexpected death of his father and returned home to support his mother and younger sisters. He received the Army Commendation Medal for his service in the counterinsurgency of the Republic of Vietnam and continued to lovingly care for his mother, Lucy, until her passing in 2013 at the age of 100.   Robert was a loyal friend and a compassionate neighbor. He devoted much time to lending a hand to his neighbor, Margaret, before he took over her home, moving him and his mother from the “little house” on Lynn St. to the bigger house next door. While there, he carried on Margaret’s love for gardening and made his yard a quiet haven for birds and visitors alike to enjoy. Robert’s love for the outdoors took him to many places throughout his life. He was especially fond of his annual trips to the beaches of Mexico with his good friend Bob and family, who were surely waiting to share some fun times with him once again.    Robert was a meticulous, do-it-yourself guy and put his all into everything he did because you “either do it right, or you don’t do it at all”; a mantra he made sure to pass on to his niece and nephew, Nicki and Gary, who he could often be seen with around town on one of their many adventures, often with a sister or two in tow. He enjoyed teaching them how to read maps, ride their bikes and hunt for buried treasure with his metal detector. They enjoyed many adventures big and small, from biking the Elroy-Sparta trail and climbing at the ledge, to road trips to Mt. Rushmore, the Smokey Mountains and Myrtle Beach with his mother, Lucy, to swim in the ocean; all of which he was sure to capture with a camera lens. He poured his love into them as if they were his own and shared his spirit of curiosity with their children in his later years.   Robert was a kind and humble man who valued his family and friends above all else. He shared his curiosity and love of adventure with all who held him dear, and their world would surely have been smaller and less exceptional without him in it.   Robert is survived by his sisters, Joan (Jim) Schaefer of Lake Dalton, Sandy (Dick) Sternat of Bullhead City, AZ, Kathleen (John) Gaffney of Pewaukee, and Mary Kreuziger of Mayville; brother, David (Mary) Marsch of Horicon; sisters-in-law, Marlene “Honey” Jerry (Marsch) of Horicon and Katherine “Kiki” (Ronnie) Marsch of Beaver Dam; nieces, Connie (Dean) Thomas, Cynthia (Erik) Perkins and Nicki Keppy; nephews, Greg (Julie) Marsch and Gary (Jess) Kreuziger. Robert is further survived by great-nephews and nieces, Jennifer, Rachel (Schraufnagel) and Melissa Thomas, Caitlin and Chloe Marsch, Ryan and Jenna Kreuziger, Owen and Joe Keppy; and great-great-nephews and niece, Will, Lucy, and Henry Schraufnagel.   Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Walter “Pete” and Lucy Marsch; his brothers, Ronnie and Jerry Marsch; his sister, Carol; his grandparents, August and Emma Marsch and Guy and Cecelia Wild; brother-in-law, Kevin Kreuziger. He was further preceded in death by many special aunts and uncles.   A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Robert will take place on Thursday, May 2, at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon with Rev. Fr. Justin Lopina presiding. A visitation for Robert with take place on Thursday, May 2, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Following the service, Graveside Military Honors will be conducted by the Horicon American Legion Post #157 at St. Malachy Cemetery in Horicon.    Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is caring for the family. www.Koepsellfh.com

Donna L. Ogi

Donna L. Ogi

In the early morning hours of April 17, 2024, Donna L. Ogi (nee Mowrer), our Mom was called to her Eternal home, reuniting and reaching for the hand of the love of her life. She left this earth surrounded by the love of her family in the home we grew up in. Mom was born on November 5, 1928, to the late Floyd and Edith Mowrer and raised on a farm in Burbank, Ohio, along with her three brothers and two sisters. Following high school, she went to business school. She met our Dad when she was on a double date. For the cute story behind this, ask any one of us! They married on May 1, 1949, and spent the next 71 years together, raising Ken, Mitch, Greg and Liz, and building the Kewaskum Veterinary Clinic, which they ran out of their home. Mom was the office manager and handled a huge portion of the business side to enable Dad to be the best veterinarian around! She made our house a home. Mom’s biggest pride and joy was being involved and loving her husband, four children and spouses, her 17 grandchildren and their spouses, and her 32 great-grandchildren. She was loved by all who crossed her path. What better way to know who Mom was than through the words from her grandchildren. She was: “a vibrant woman, had pride for all of her family, pretty in pink, completely her authentic self, determined, compassionate, her hugs felt like a warm blanket, faithful servant, depth and genuineness, silly but strong, humor that could make your belly laugh, just her presence, charming, but didn’t need to try, she just was, the person you wanted to be near, because she cared about everyone, she made you feel like you were the only person, in the room, classy, stylish, beautiful, thoughtful and so loving, how she tucked us in at night and gave us kisses, with her, we got time.” Mom lives on through her children, Ken and Linda Ogi, Shirley Ogi and the late Mitch Ogi, Greg and Julie Ogi, Liz and Todd Dock; her grandchildren, Brett and Anooshka Ogi, Kellen and Amanda Ogi, Matthew and Amy Ogi, Emily and Matthew Welt, Ryan and Anna Ogi, Rebecca and Clint Herrick, Bob and Kallie Ogi, Tom and Michelle Ogi, Kaitlyn and David Lerdahl, Eric and Shrestha Ogi, Megan Ogi, Rachel Ogi, Charlie Ogi, Jessica and Zach Rieger, Ashley Dock, Andrew and Lauren Dock, Melissa and Dustin Laatsch; great-grandchildren, Alara, Braven, Abigail, Annah, Caleb, Eliana, Judah, Lila, Thane, Hudson, Tessa, Lacey, Kristen, Esme, Julia, Charlie, Nelle, Isaac, Eli, Henry, Sam, Aubrie, Benji, Rosalie, Eliyas, Livi, Ella, Goldie, Ava, Blakely, Emma. Celebrate Mom on Saturday by wearing her favorite colors of pink, aqua/turquoise, purple, or anything vibrant that honors this amazing woman! SERVICE: A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Peace United Church of Christ, 343 First St., Kewaskum. Thank you to those who provided her with compassionate long-term care in her home: Kim Hutchins, Brooke Smith, Tabitha Poppy, Dani Rodenkirch, Barb Breitag, and Sherryl Anklam and to anyone who filled in as needed. Thanks to the granddaughters, who lovingly spent many nights with Mom. She was blessed. She and Grandpa know. Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Donna’s arrangements.
