(nee Lackas) Theisen, 96, of Kewaskum, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum.Mildred was born on March 26, 1923, in Theresa, the daughter of the late William and Adela (nee Wolf) Lackas. On October 11, 1947, she was united in marriage to Albert Theisen at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa. They settled into the Theisen homestead north of St. Michaels. A long-time member of St. Michael Parish, she worked many fish fries and Fall Festivals over the years before selling the farm and moving into the Village of Kewaskum. She was a stay at home mom until the unexpected passing of her husband, Albert on July 10, 1969. After which she worked various jobs throughout the years until retiring from Serigraph. Milly spent many hours creating beautiful crocheted doilies, afghans, and many other crocheted and knitted items which she sold at craft sales. A grandchild would always help her out for the price of a donut and a lesson in sheepshead.Milly is survived by her children, Susan (Gary) Peters, Peter (Luanne) Theisen, John (Michele) Theisen, and Nancy (Mark) Boden; grandchildren, Doug, Jeremy, Nicholas, Jennifer, Christopher, Ellyn, Michael, Lisa, Kathryn, and Emily; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Eileen Petri; a brother, Donald (Rosie) Lackas; two sisters-in-law, Rita Lackas and Mildred A. Theisen; other relatives and friends.Milly is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; parents; siblings, Rueben (Francis) Lackas, Harold (Bernice) Lackas, and Eugene Lackas and a brother-in-law, Bruce Petri.A Mass of Christian Burial for Mildred will be held at Noon on Friday, August 23, 2019, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 8883 Forest View Road, Kewaskum (St. Michael’s). Father Jacob Strand will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.Mildred’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Trinity School are appreciated. Kempf (Staehler), age 82 years, of Kewaskum was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2019.Shirley was born on May 12, 1937 in West Bend to Andrew and Esther Staehler (Ohrmund). She was united in marriage to Leander “Lee” Kempf on August 18, 1956 at St. Frances Cabrini in West Bend. She was a Loan Officer at Valley Bank in Kewaskum for many years. Shirley was a long-time member and active volunteer at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. She was part of the Red Hats Ladies Group. Most of all Shirley loved spending time with her family and made it a top priority to plan and organize family functions. She always enjoyed being involved in her family’s lives and keeping everyone updated. Those Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory include her six children, Lynn (Jim) Gaffke, LuAnn (Tim) Potter, Carrie (Al) Copperud, Pam (Jeff) Newhauser, Lisa (Matt) Perkins and Holly (John) Swanson; 17 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, Eddie (Sandy) Staehler; brother-in-law, Alan (Janice) Kempf; and sister-in-law, Carolyn (Jim) Lindemann; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Lee, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Staehler; brother-in-law, Marvin (Althea) Kempf; sister-in-law, Shirley (Roland) Koepke; and grandson, Anthony Potter.Memorial Mass for Shirley will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (331 Main Street – Kewaskum, WI 53040) with Father Jacob Strand officiating. She was united in marriage to Mark Kaiser on August 28, 2004.Cari earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, where she made many treasured friendships. Cari enjoyed a career in banking as a specialist in Mortgage Underwriting.Cari was best known for her lifelong passion for horses, cats, chickens and all animals in need. Adopting, rescuing, rehoming, saving. Always a voice for the voiceless, Cari was dedicated to Saddlebred Horse Rescues and local TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) cat rescues. Cari loved living in the country on her horse farm in the Northern Kettle Moraine, and leaves behind in the loving care of her husband Mark her beloved horses Louie and Sophie, and much loved cats Peanut, Rocky, Flash, Stormy, Haley, Cocoa Puff, Tangerine and Tipper. She so enjoyed monthly “Ladies’ Night” at the Hanrahan Stables in Boltonville with Brandi, Mary, Becky, Colleen and all her dearest friends.Cari was known for her quick wit, telling it straight, a big smile, and an even bigger heart.
