Norbert N. ‘Nubby’ Dornfeldt, Jr.


Norbert N. ‘Nubby’ Dornfeldt, Jr., age 78, of Mayville passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.  Nobert was born the son of Norbert and Clarene ‘Sudsy’ (Price) Dornfeldt, Sr. on November 5, 1945.    Nubby was a 1963 graduate of Mayville High School. He was united in marriage to Jean Brandenstein on October 17, 1970, at Immanuel Lutheran Church (River Church). Nubby had retired from TAB Products, where he worked as a manager in shipping and receiving.   Nubby was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville. Nubby loved his community in Mayville. He was a board member of the Mayville School District for over 34 years. Mayville Athletics were also a passion for Nubby. He loved watching his son E.J. throughout his high school and college baseball career. Nubby also officiated as a referee for Cardinal basketball for many years. He was inducted in the Rock River Baseball League Hall of Fame and was an announcer that called many games.   In his spare time, Nubby enjoyed bowling, golfing, and singing karaoke with his buddies. Nubby was a kind soul that loved to socialize and help others. He will be fondly missed.  Nubby is survived by his wife, Jean of Mayville; his son, E.J. (Morgan) Dornfeldt of Hartford; his grandchildren, Avery and Reed. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.   He was preceded in death by his parents.  A memorial service for Nubby will take place on Thursday, August 15 at noon at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville with the Rev. Dr. Mark G. Cutler officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon at church. Shirley M. Gawel

Shirley M. Gawel


Shirley M. Gawel (nee Holz), 77, died at Aspirus Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids and went to be with God on July 31st.  Born on August 1, 1946, the beloved daughter of Roy and Ruth (Gerwing) Holz in Hartford. Shirley moved to Lebanon and graduated from Hustisford High School in 1964. In 1966, she moved to Milwaukee and attended M.I.T. for one year.  Shirley married Ray Gawel on June 8, 1968, and the couple moved to Massachusetts for one year while Ray finished his Naval enlistment, before returning to Milwaukee.  In 1976, Shirley started her own tax preparation service and worked passionately in that field until her retirement in 2018.  Over the years, Ray and Shirley lived in the communities of West Bend, Silver Creek, and Big Flats.  Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ray; her daughter and best friend, Donna; her son, David; and her beloved granddaughter, Catherine.  Visitation Sat., Aug. 17, 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. with service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service (1315 W. Gary “Dea­con” Lee Har­graves, age 83, of Hori­con, passed away un­ex­pect­edly on Sat­ur­day, Au­gust 3, 2024, at St. Agnes Hos­pi­tal in Fond du Lac with his lov­ing wife by his side.  Dea­con was born the son of Roger and Ada­line (Kruger) Har­graves on Au­gust 5, 1940, in Mil­wau­kee. He grad­u­ated from Hori­con High School in 1959. Dea­con was united in mar­riage to Au­drey Welle on De­cem­ber 19, 1964, at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Hori­con. They were just a few months shy of cel­e­brat­ing their 60th wed­ding an­niver­sary.  Dea­con worked as a welder for many years at Mayville Metal. His true pas­sion and hobby was wood­work­ing and craft­ing unique pieces for fam­ily and friends. He es­pe­cially en­joyed tin­ker­ing with any­thing that had a motor. Dea­con and Au­drey trav­elled the coun­try on mo­tor­cy­cle, mak­ing it to every state ex­cept Hawaii and Alaska. They started off camp­ing with a tent, which later turned into pulling the camper be­hind the mo­tor­cy­cle.    Dea­con and Au­drey looked for­ward to going out to eat at var­i­ous restau­rants in the area, es­pe­cially to Schwartz’s Sup­per Club, where they would cel­e­brate their an­niver­sary every year. They loved a good meal, fel­low­ship, and, of course, some re­fresh­ments.    Dea­con will be deeply missed by his wife, Au­drey, and his cousin, Greg Har­graves. Dea­con is fur­ther sur­vived by many other rel­a­tives and friends.    Dea­con was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents.  A memo­r­ial ser­vice for Dea­con will take place on Sat­ur­day, Au­gust 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Koepsell Fu­neral Home in Hori­con. Vis­i­ta­tion will take place on Sat­ur­day, Au­gust 17, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of ser­vice at 1:00 p.m. at the fu­neral home.   Au­drey ex­tends her sin­cer­est thanks to the cou­ple who as­sisted them at Quit­ting Time and also to the staff at St. Agnes Hos­pi­tal in Fond du Lac. Wayne Wodsedalek


Wayne Milton Wodsedalek. age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Aurora Baycare Medical Center in Green Bay, WI, surrounded by his family. He was born August 20th, 1941, in Kewaunee, WI to Milton and Helen (nee Simon) Wodsedalek. Wayne grew up on his family farm in Casco, WI and graduated from Casco High School. Wayne met the love of his life and married Margaret (nee Kirchmann) on March 10th, 1962. Wayne worked at Gehl Company in West Bend, then became a truck driver. During his trucking career he logged over 5 million miles. He retired from trucking in 2002. Wayne enjoyed golfing, riding motorcycles and playing cards, especially sheepshead. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his children and grandchildren play various sports. Wayne was also a connoisseur of Wisconsin cheeses and sausages. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret; his children Darrell (Mariellen) Wodsedalek, Dale (Linda) Wodsedalek, Darain Wodsedalek, Marla (Gary) Muhasky, Dallas (Tracy) Wodsedalek, Marlene Alexander and Monica (Joseph) Zaleski; grandchildren Thomas (Theresa) and Jennifer Wodsedalek, Deric, Dylan (Hannah) and Dawson Wodsedalek, Jeffrey Frye, Brooke (Joshua) Segerstrom and Beth (Aric) VanEss, Tyler (Megan), Cody, and Haley Alexander, and 16 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by sisters Sherri (David) Osterloth, Sharlene Michener, Jean Dell, Dawn Wodsedalek and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents. A special thanks to the staff of Aurora Baycare Medical Center, Green Bay for their care and compassion provided to Wayne and his family. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11AM, at Evergreen Cemetery, E6067 Hwy 54, Algoma, WI 54201. Milton C. “Milt” Krug

Milton C. “Milt” Krug


   On Friday, August 2, 2024 Milton C. Krug, 83, of rural Fond du Lac, “Dotyville”, was called peacefully to eternal rest at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was born June 13, 1941, to Clarence and Viola (Miller) Krug. He attended Goodrich High School, and following graduation enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Structural Mechanic. Milt went on three deployments with his squadron In the Western Pacific.   Following his service, Milt returned to his hometown and married the love of his life, Susan Hahn, on May 7, 1966, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Dotyville.   Working as a carpenter, Milt built their home in Dotyville and they raised their family there. He later started his own construction company and built many homes in the area.   Milt’s life was centered around his faith, his family, and service. He served the Lord and his community in many ways. He was a Little League baseball coach, an usher, church trustee, and Holy Name Society member. He also served on the honor guard and later as chaplain for American Legion Post 454, Mt. Calvary.   Milt enjoyed attending sports events, woodworking, camping, anything to do with aviation (he had his private pilot’s license), photography, and everything to do with his family.   Those left to cherish his memory include, three children: Jeff (Giuli) Krug of Belton, TX, Heather (Larry) Koffman of Campbellsport, and Angela (Matt) Scodellaro of Vienna, VA; eight grandchildren, Gabriel, Sophia, Eliana (Tim), Samuel, Jacob, Thomas, Vincent and Joseph; his siblings, Shirley Wild (nee Krug), and Donald Krug; his sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Willis (nee Hahn), and Olga Hahn; nieces, nephews, and cherished friends and neighbors.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue, of 55 years; his parents; in-laws, Edwin and Helen Hahn; brother, Herbert Krug; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne (nee Hahn) and Orv Tabbert; and brother-in-law, John Hahn.   Visitation: Family and friends may visit with the family Tuesday, Aug. 13. from 4 to 7 p.m. at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac and on Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at Shepherd of the Hills Church, 1562 County Road B, Eden.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 11 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden. Beverly B. Mann

Beverly B. Mann


   Beverly B. Mann, 88, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024, at St. Mary’s Health Care Center in Manitowoc.   Beverly was born at home at the family farm on August 13, 1935, in Juneau, to Herbert and Elsie (Nehls) Becker.   She attended Woodland Road School and Mayville High School. At the age of 17, she hopped on a train to Milwaukee where she attended Columbia College of Nursing, graduating in 1956.   On August 2, 1957, she married Stephen Mann at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Woodland.    Beverly was born to be a nurse; it was more than a job, it was a passion. She started her nursing career as a public health nurse for the City of Milwaukee, conducting newborn home visits and immunizations to stop the spread of polio. After moving to Manitowoc and having four children, she returned to nursing at Holy Family Hospital. She then transitioned to education, sharing her love of nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant instructor, first with Lakeshore Technical College, then with St. Mary’s Nursing Home. After retiring from education, she kept her skills sharp by traveling throughout Wisconsin administering CNA licensing exams. She wrapped up her career when she was in her 70s the way it began, providing immunizations with the Red Cross.    Gardening was her other passion. Anyone visiting her home was surrounded by a colorful display of a variety of flowers; all of which would be generously shared with those interested in learning about and expanding their own gardens.   Beverly loved being at their cabin on Lake Content, St. Germain. This was a place for family gatherings, fishing, playing cards with the grandkids, or just sitting on the swing at the lake taking in God’s beauty.   Beverly is survived by her husband, Stephen, of 65 years; children, Charles (Sharon) Mann of Cherry Valley, IL, Katherine (Jeff) Marnach of LaCrescent, MN, Stephanie (Tim) Conway of Onalaska, WI, and Jennifer (John) Trucco of Wausau, WI; and grandchildren, Lindsay (Adam) Adkins, Nicholas (fiancée Maddie O’Brien) Marnach, Daniel (Allie) Marnach, Matthew Marnach, Kelsey (fiancé Ryan Heyrman) Conway, Samuel Conway and Ryan Trucco. She is further survived by siblings, Ruby Gentz, Evangeline Gunka and Jean Chapman; numerous nieces and nephews and friend/neighbor/fellow gardener, Frances Beckman.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Elsie; siblings and in-laws, Daniel Becker, Oliver Becker, Herbert and Joan Becker, Calvin and Delores Becker, Curtis and Mary Becker, Joan and Wallace Pusch, Earl Gentz, John Gunka, Walter Chapman, Peter and LaBelle Mann.   Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory Chapel. Visitation will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1712 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc, WI on Friday, Aug. 9, at 1 p.m., with the funeral service following at 3 p.m. After the service, a meal will be held in Beverly’s honor at the church.    Beverly will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery, Mayville, on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 3 p.m.   Memorials may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, The Friends of Woodland Road School or the charity of your choice.    Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. 628 N. Raymond A. Schrauth

Raymond A. Schrauth


   Raymond A. Schrauth, 85, of Campbellsport walked thru the Pearly Gates into the arms of Jesus and Mary and his wife, Judy, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, with his loving family gathered with him.   He was born in the Town of Kewaskum on June 4, 1939, the son of Peter and Marion (Theusch) Schrauth.    On May 21, 1960, Ray was united in marriage to Judy A. Rahn at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.   He was a member of St., Matthew’s Catholic Church and faith was very important to Ray.   Ray worked at Regal Ware his entire working career before retiring. Judy and Ray traveled extensively throughout the United States in their RV. He loved nature but did enjoy cutting down trees. Ray was a perfectionist when it came to his woodworking, and he enjoyed hiking in the mountains out West. Ray was never one to pass up ice cream or, better yet, a chocolate malt.   Those left behind to cherish Ray’s memory include his children, Bonnie (Dave) Kristan, Don (LuAnn) Schrauth, and Beth (Tim) Pautsch; grandchildren, Abe (Laura) McCarty, Andy (Nikki) McCarty, Jessie (Ryan Gilbert) McCarty, Nick (Emily) Gellings, Jon (Jill) Gellings, Amanda Schrauth, and Heather (John Garrison) Schrauth; great-grandchildren, Nolan, William, Maisie, and Matthew McCarty, Ben and Nate Gellings, and Arete and Esker Gellings; sisters, Margie (Rich) Schmidt and Gloria Kumrow; sister-in-law, Jeanne (Allen) Amerling; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.    Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, on April 4, 2024; parents, Pete and Marion; in-laws, Steve and Mary Rahn; and brother-in-law, Ron Kumrow.   A private family service will be held.   Memorials are appreciated to Hospice Home of Hope, 400 County Road K, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.Thank you to Hospice Home of Hope in FDL for providing grace and dignity for Dad during his last days.   Twohig Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, is serving the family. Parker Jule Lange


   Parker Jule Lange, 26, of Campbellsport, rode the skies to heaven on July 27, 2024.    Parker was born in Plymouth, on June 29, 1998, the son of Roger and Joanne (Mitchell) Lange. Starting at a young age, Parker showed his enthusiasm in life. He was always eager to try new things, being involved in cub scouts, racing, soccer, hunting, trap shooting, and many other activities.    Parker graduated from Campbellsport High School in 2016. He worked at Highland Hunt Club and FJ Rahn & Sons Farm, while attending high school. He went on to MPTC to complete an apprenticeship with MidPoint Machine. He earned his journeyman’s card and found his home with TDC Engineering in Armstrong.   His true passion in life was motorcycle racing. He started this at the age of five and grew through the ranks. He received his professional license in 2016 and continued for a few years before stepping down in 2020. Parker loved all aspects of motorcycles. He loved to wrench, crank hogs with his friends, and even stunt at events. His main discipline was flat track and ice racing in the cold winter months. However, he enjoyed dabbling in super moto, motocross, and hill climbing. This sport allowed Parker to live more and spend time with his family and friends that shared the same passion in life.    Motorcycle racing aside, Parker was an avid outdoorsman. Enjoying solo trips bow hunting, gun hunting with his family, pheasant hunting with his favorite pals Denver & Chopper, and trap shooting with his brother and friends.    Parker’s hard working ethic lead him to start his own journey of becoming an entrepreneur in his trade, as he was working on opening PLP (Parker Lange Products, LLC). Parker wanted to bring both his love for machining and motorcycle racing together to create a business of specialized motorcycle parts.    Parker will always be remembered for his infectious genuine smile, humble and loyal mindset, and his legendary mustache.    Those left behind to cherish Parker’s memory include his forever love, Maisie Osuski; their fur babies, Chopper and Throttle; his parents, Roger and Joanne; siblings, Hannah (Tyler Immel) and Brady (Shelby Werbelow) Lange. He is further survived by his maternal grandmother, Karen Mitchell; and godparents, Karla Putnam and Larry Lange; aunts and uncles, Howard (Janice) Mitchell, Pamela (Rodney) Ravanelli, Karla (Paul) Putnam, Ellie (Tim) Gruman, Larry (Robin) Lange and Patti (Lee) Krautkramer; numerous cousins, colleagues, racers, and friends.    He was greeted at the gates of heaven by his maternal grandfather, Donald Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Albert and Lorraine Lange and Grandma Pat (Patricia Hafermann); fellow racers and friends, Charlotte Kainz, Alec Muth and Austin Reifschneider.    Through the generous gifts of his organs and tissues, Parker continues to change the lives of those around him. Parker makes his family so proud by sharing his love of life with those who are to receive his organs and tissues.    Service were held on Friday, Aug. 2, at Shepherd of the Hills Parish - W1562 County Road B, Eden, WI 53019. Visitation was held from 1 to 7 p.m. with a Catholic Mass to follow. Father Mark Jones officiated. Dennis H. Moldenhauer

Dennis H. Moldenhauer


   Dennis H Moldenhauer, 82, of Mayville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Crossroads Care Center in Mayville. Dennis leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith.    Dennis was born the son of Lorenz and Lydia (Maas) Moldenhauer on February 16, 1942, in Hartford. He graduated from Mayville High School in 1960. He went on to attend the UW School of Agriculture in Madison.   He was united in marriage to Barbara A. Koch on November 4, 1978, at St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge.    Dennis retired from ConAgra at the age of 64. He also farmed for many years in the village of Iron Ridge.   Dennis was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Kekoskee, where he also volunteered. Dennis spent his retirement delving into his love for genealogy, taking walks, and spending precious time with his family. Dennis was active with the Senior Center in Iron Ridge and enjoyed attending car shows.    Dennis was a wonderful husband, father, and brother, who cherished stories and laughter with his family. He had a passion for his faith and the church.    Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; three children, Nathan (Renee) Moldenhauer of Sussex, Brendan (Erin) Moldenhauer of Ripon, and Kristin (Peter) Plashko of Bushwood, MD; four grandchildren, Jasmine, Adeline, Peter Jr., and Theodore; and sister, Lois (Richard) Lund of Carmel, IN; nieces, Laura and Jennifer; and nephew, Derrick. Dennis is further survived by other relatives and friends.   Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.   A graveside committal service for Dennis took place on Friday, Aug. 2, at 1 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Cemetery in Iron Ridge with Rev.
